This is the center of the Japanese Olympic Movement.Grand Open!

The Olympic Movement is an activity of the JOC that widely promotes Olympism. Olympism is the Olympic philosophy.of contributing to build a peaceful and better world, through learning the spirit of friendship, solidarity, fair play, and mutual understanding through sports. The Japan Olympic Museum is the center of this movement. The museum offers various activities that combine sports with culture and education in collaboration with athletes.

5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Gaiemmae Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line
10-minute walk from Exit A2 of Kokuritsu-kyogijo Station on the Toei Oedo Line
12-minute walk from Sendagaya Station or Shinanomachi Station on the JR Chuo-Sobu Line (stopping at all stations)

  • Opening hours:10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (final entry 4:30 p.m.)
  • Closed:Mondays (in the case of a public holiday on a Monday, the museum is open; it will be closed on the following day). Also closed at the end of year and new year period, and for preparing new exhibitions and so on.
