Admission Fees

Tell me more about the admission fees.
The following admission fees are required to visit the Exhibition Area on the second floor: Adults: 500 yen; Groups: 400 yen per person (apply in advance); Seniors: 400 yen (65 and above, ID required); Persons with disabilities, plus one caregiver per person, are admitted free (ID showing disability required) admission fees
How should I pay the admission fees?
We accept cash or credit cards on the day of your visit. (Payment in advance or after is not accepted.)

Group admission

Do you accept group reservations?
We do not accept group reservations. If you come in a group, you may have to stand in line during busy hours.
What are the requirements for group discounts?
Group discounts (400 yen) are for groups of 20 adults or more. To get a group discount, you will need to apply at least 5 business days in advance.
How to apply for a group discount.
Applications must be submitted with the following information at least 5 business days in advance via fax at 03-6910-5563: Date and time of visit, number of visitors, name of group and representative, contact information.
Note: No specified format is necessary.
Do you accept students on school trips, excursions and field trips?
We have special times for schools bringing students on field trips, 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, on regular days when the museum is open. We accept up to 50 students at once with advance notice.
Until when do you provide group discounts?
We provide group discounts and accept school and institute groups for the present exhibition between October 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020.
Are there times when admission is restricted?
When the total number of visitors exceeds the limit set for security reasons, we may restrict admission and ask you to wait.
Are there places for groups to sit and eat?
We have no areas for groups to sit or eat.
Do you always accept groups?
We may decline applications for field trip programs and group discounts due to events held in the neighborhood or circumstances attributable to our facility.

Visit by bus or car

Do you have parking?
We do not have an available parking area. Please use public transportation.
Do you have space to get on and off buses?
We do not have space for getting on and off vehicles. We recommend using public transportation. Please note that we cannot provide traffic information for the area or neighborhood.

Miscellaneous

When are you closed?
Mondays (If Monday falls on a national holiday, the Museum will be open on Monday and closed on the following Tuesday) . The Museum will close temporarily during the New Years' holidays, preparations for the next exhibition, equipment inspection, etc.
Are we allowed to take pictures?
Visitors may take pictures, but flashes, tripods, closeup photos of materials and videography are prohibited so as not to disturb other visitors.
Are we allowed to eat or drink in the facility?
Eating and drinking are not allowed in the entire facility except for the café area on the first floor.
Do you have a museum shop?
We have a shop offering our original items, which are not available on our Website.
How long does it take to visit the museum?
A visit will take about 60 minutes when the museum is not crowded.
Do you have guides to explain about the displays?
We do not provide guided tours of the exhibition. However, if you have any questions, please ask our staff at the Exhibition Area on the second floor.
