Special Exhibition: Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships & Tokyo 2025
Deaflympics

Sport possesses the power to change the world and shape the future. Embracing this philosophy as its core concept, the Tokyo 2020 Games were held under the vision of ‘Every Athlete at Their Best’, ‘Diversity and Harmony’, and ‘Legacy for the Future’. Carrying forward this legacy, two major international sporting events – the World Athletics Championships and the Deaflympics – will be held here in Tokyo in 2025. Witnessing athletes pushing their potential to the absolute limit is sure to inspire countless people.
This exhibition aims to realise an inclusive society through sport, offering everyone an opportunity to experience its appeal. It looks back on the nine days of thrilling competition at the World Athletics Championships while introducing the appeal of the Deaflympics, the festival of sport for the deaf and hard of hearing, which will be held for the first time in Japan in this commemorative centenary year.
