【Finished】Records from the JOC Gambare! Nippon! Projects
The Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) launched the JOC Gambare! Nippon! projects immediately following the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami including dispatch of a Medical Relief and Care Team, provision of relief supplies, Thank You Event in Tohoku to convey the gratitude for supporting the athletes during the London Games, and a charity campaign at the Olympic Concert. The pillar of the projects was the “Olympic Day Festa – Smiling Faces from Participation in Sport”. A total of 867 Olympians and Paralympians from the summer and winter Games participated in the Olympic Day Festa over the past 10 years to interact with the people in the affected areas.
