One Year Before the Paris 2024 Games ➡ Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games
The Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, which will be held mainly in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11, 2024, will be the first Games held in Paris in the 100 years since the previous time in 1924. The setting is France, the birthplace of Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympics who revived the Olympics and established the International Olympic Committee (IOC). This special exhibition presents episodes from the 1900 and 1924 Paris Games and, in preparation for next year’s Games, uses actual competition equipment and photos to provide an overview of the Games, new events held at the Tokyo 2020 Games, and new sports, desciplines for the Paris 2024 Games. In addition, to prepare for the 19th Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 18 of this year following a one-year postponement, various sports equipment unique to the Asian Games will also be displayed, presenting an appeal that differs from that of the Olympics. During the Asian Games, information on competition by Team Japan will also be presented.
