The 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi, Nagoya) Special Exhibition: eSports

This is the second special exhibition following the “One Year Before the Paris 2024 Games ➡ Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games” held in 2023 as a project to build momentum for the 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi/Nagoya), which will be held in Nagoya and other cities in Aichi Prefecture from 19 September to 14 October 2026. This exhibition focuses on the increasingly popular field of eSports, which has been officially adopted as a sport for the 20th Asian Games (2026 in Aichi/Nagoya) and will also be featured at the Olympic eSports Games to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027, under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee. In line with the Japan Olympic Museum's concept of an “Olympic museum for everyone”, we expect that the eSports competitions will attract visitors of various backgrounds, including children, the elderly, people with disabilities and Olympians (athletes), regardless of age, gender or disability, to provide an opportunity to experience the appeal of eSports and learn about the Asian Games to be held in Japan. Dates: 29 Apr (Tue) - 31 Aug (Sun) 2025 Venue: “WELCOME SALON”, 1F, Japan Olympic Museum Main organiser: Japanese Olympic Committee Co-organiser: Japan eSports Union Cooperation: Aichi, Nagoya Asian and Asian Para Games Organising Committee
