The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Flame will be displayed in the first floor Welcome Area starting on September 1. The Olympic Flame, which was ignited in Olympia, Greece using sunlight and brought to Japan, remains lit as it waits for the Olympic Games to resume. Visitors can get a close view of the flame, which continues to shine with the light of hope and prayers for world peace and safety.

In order to avoid the 3 Cs (closed spaces, crowded places and close-contact settings) inside and outside the Museum, please make a reservation with the time and date of your visit.
All reservations must be made online, including those admitted free of charge as well as those with disability certificates and caregivers.
Due to the online ticketing system, all exhibition areas including the Welcome Area on the first floor will be open only for guests with tickets.
Admission fees remain the same for all categories: adults (\500), senior citizens aged 65 or over (\400) and free for those with disability certificates plus one caregiver as well as high school students and younger.
In order to avoid close contact with other guests, please follow the route in one direction from the second level to the first. Re-entry is not allowed.
